Growing up, I moved often, living among the mountains and plains of the West, the coast of Oregon, the deserts of Arizona, and eventually the rolling green hills of the Midwest. Constantly finding myself in new places taught me to pay attention. I became curious about the character of each landscape, the colors, the people, the light, and the little details that made one place feel completely different from another, how a place or a captured moment can make you feel something before you can even put it into words.

That sense of discovery became part of how I create.

I jump in, experiment, layer, scrape, add, remove, and keep going until something begins to feel right. That willingness to try, change direction, and keep working through the process is an important part of my art.

Being a wife and mom of five has also shaped the way I approach creativity. Building an art career alongside a busy family life has taught me that inspiration is only part of the process. Showing up, staying curious, and having the discipline to keep creating are just as important.

Painting is a conversation between intention and perception—a moment translated into color, texture, movement, and something meaningful emerges.

Carrying a little of that sense of discovery within the piece, giving the viewer something new to notice, feel, and make their own.
